Extract AI’s new CPO — Charles Chandar (MBA, Harvard Business School)
We are proud to announce the appointment of our new Chief Privacy Officer, Mr. Charles Chandar. As a data-driven business, Extract takes data privacy extremely seriously. We see the protection of customer data not as an obligation but a fundamental pillar of our business, and our appointment of a Charles is in affirmation of that. He brings decades of experience in business management — and expertise in privacy strategy — to our dedicated data privacy and security team.
Charles has an MBA (Master of Business Administration) from Harvard Business School. Equipped with one of the most sought-after degrees in business, he was once a senior management consultant for Chicago-based Arthur Andersen LLP which at its height hired 85,000 people with annual revenues of almost $10 billion USD. The Fortune 500 firm was later renamed Accenture and remains today one of the largest consultancies in the world. While there, Charles was responsible for developing the organisation’s training doctrines for information management and business practices in Asia Pacific..
Prior to joining Extract, Charles was occupied in the provision of advanced technological solutions for various building services. His experience in data-driven businesses has given him an industry-informed vision of privacy strategy as well as the regulatory compliance landscape of the region. His insight will be invaluable in leading our data privacy team.
Charles is looking forward to joining Extract, having already stated that “My most important responsibility as chief privacy officer is to be the customer’s advocate.” Extract’s data strategy will determine personally identifiable information (PII) within the vast caches of data in possession, protect this data as soon as it is generated and ensure it is operationally usable for the customer’s business. Charles’ appointment is a very significant step in reaffirming that strategy.
